A Louisiana firefighter collapsed on duty last week following a busy shift in St. Tammany Parish.
On July 9, Joseph T. Grace, 47, was at his second job as a paramedic when he was found in the kitchen where he was preparing breakfast, according to the USFA.
Care was initiated, and he was taken to a local hospital. However, he was transferred to a larger facility. He died there on July 10.
On July 8, in addition to responding to a number of calls with the Mandeville Fire Department, he also participated in a "Mayday" drill, the USFA reported.
He also answered a number of calls overnight July 9 before his shift at the fire department ended.

It's sad we pay politicians $100's of Thousands of dollars a year to commute via 757 to CA for botox treatments, and yet:

we don't pay those who put their lives on the line for us - Fire & Rescue (& LEO) - enough leaving them having to work 2 jobs to support their families -

another silent hero - God rest his soul.
