I was wondering why some New Orleans taxi companies use single inversion scrambling?
When I visited NO I found that the Free Scan downloads worked great. I would recommend them to all who are visiting.

To keep the competition from knowing about fares??? LOL I have seen MANY taxi operators running scanners to hear the competition... Andthen run to grab up the fare... Evil, but thats business lol.

in thibodaux back in the 90's they had 2 cab services and both would listen to each other on the scanners....one day the owner of taxi company a challenged owner of taxi company b to a fight in the local park....well least to say other people were monitoring that day and thibodaux p.d. responded to the park..and talked to the cab owner that was there(other 1 didn't show yet)....about 2 months after that company b shut down operations...and as 2 years ago company a shut down after 40 years in service....the newest cab company which started in the early 2000's is the sole survivor....
