As of this morning Morgan City PD has made the switch to LWIN. The new ID is 21041. I will submit it to the db.

That is odd considering how close they are to the Jeanerette site. Do you an additional site will be built closer to that area. Or maybe when they reposition the Jeanerette site due to the new overpass that may help that area some.

Yeah hopefully that will help when they reposition that one. The police chief has contacted a few people about another tower location because St Mary SO also has alot of dead spots, hence the reason they still communicate on their old system. I work for Chitimacha Fire Protection is how I know alot of the negative talk with this new system. We are staying on highband until forced on new system and hopefully by then all the kinks will be out.

So is Chitamatcha PD going to drop 700 for now and use the 800 system until the problem is fixed, or are they going to continue using the new 700 system?

Speaking of dead spots. Apparently the reason Assumption S.O. is using both 700 and Conventional channels is more than likely they must have dead spots in that area as well. I hear dispatching on both.

Appears they are keeping the 700 since their new console was installed with 700 only
