Default Mapping LTR system question

Hello to all I been browsing for a while and I do like this site its a great resource.

So I have finally moved into a area where there is a LTR system. Problem is I can not find out the LCN. Solution well I been trying to map it out myself. Using LTR-analyzer (great and simple program first one that gave me hardly any problems hooked to my Pro-97). The LTR system is Central Maine Power up north here if anyone has the LCN map of it . RR shows only 3 frequencies and unconfirmed LCN. Now befor I keep pulling my hair out is it possible that only those three frequencies are it because I have been getting results on a lot of frequencies that I have pulled off of the FCC database and I think ScanNE Wikki they have a big frequency list broken down by area, but I do not know how reliable that is. I never liked Wikki where anyone can change it. A lot of what I think instead of what it is.

Does the different areas come to play when figuring out the different LCN's? I am on the border of two zones and some channels I am getting conflicting results.

Some of my results kinda confuses me I am wondering could one frequency on a LTR system run more then one different area? Ex. xxx.xxxx is LCN 14 for the south and for the central xxx.xxxx is in a different LCN channel. Meaning if so I assume I need to use a different bank for the different areas when I throw it all together.

I hope that makes a little sense.

Geebs this system is confusing a little bit. Thanks in advance for any of your time.

Being you have a Pro97 that would be all you need to map a LTR system if you know the freqs. I used a 2055 and 97 to map a couple in my area. The Wiki has the info on how this is done Pro-97 - The RadioReference Wiki

I have tried Wikki's way of transcribing the LCN but when I first tried that way before finding LTRAnalyzer I would at times see multiple Values for the LCN On the same frequency (Ex. R03, R19, R06) and it pops up so fast I can not read the whole line at time to time and that way I have to keep my eyes on the display all the time.
I have been getting better results when I take one frequency and put it in all 20 channels of one bank set it all to LTR and the bank and just let it scan that one bank and that way for the first time I have been even hearing transmissions. Well maybe its to early to be believing all my results until I go through all these frequencies and verify some.

I am getting data I am just trying to figure out some results I have. Like can 859.3375 be in LCN 5 and 3 in area 0 as well be LCN 10 in area 1? (I guess different areas will sort out to different zones like central and south) I am still in the beginning of trying to look up from the FCC site and even so 20 or so frequencies will take a few weeks I am guessing. I usually just set the 97 through the day as I go to work and go through the results at night.

I am a new at this system and all help is appreciated. One day may understand it then it will be all flipped to learn something new.

Try putting LTR analyzer on one freq (the one you suspect as being the home repeater) and see what kind of results you get.

Read the readme with LTR analyzer there is a command to log all your findings to a text file for later review and there is another very useful command to get stats. Hit s or S to get basic or extended stats at any time.

I have found it helpful to listen to the system while it is idle, and when you hear users coming on, this frequency will always be their home repeater. All LTR radios will always transmit on their home channel first, unless it is in use, even then it will still attempt to transmit on the home repeater.
