Smile how to identify ltr trunked user?

I monitor the nyc stscom ltr standard system and was wondering if there was a way to identify the user? I know they strictly use home repeater 19 and thats a hospital agency/ambulance but would like to know which one?? Any ideas or is this impossible?

Just lot of monitoring real close is only way I know , listen for bits & pieces & put the puzzle together. Part of the fun is mapping a new system

Monitor, monitor, monitor... The only way to ID users on ANY system, you listen and work it out. It won't take long to ID the TG on a LTR if youve mapped out the LCN's ad know which TG you want to ID.. Just sit on it and listen.

Thanks for all the help.i have gotten impatient in my years and want that instant gratification in alpha texting the ids. the problem is that unlike a regular conv/or trunked system, most users on a Ltr system do not identify their company name or license number.

LTR Analyzer will not tell you who group users are. It takes listening (and some stalking) to do that.

I have been sucessful with ID'ing LTR EMS agencies by listening to the system users and other responders.
First ID the city or area the are working in. Then monitor those area's first responders and wait for them to say "AMR on scene" or something like that.
If they only do transfers and not 911 calls, it may be tougher. Wait for the address that is within 15 or 20 minutes and do a drive by. You are not interfering and only need to spot the vehicle.
Another way is if they use a regional radio system type of ID. (265 Alpha 5 or something unique like that) You can ask other EMS workers that you may know who it is.

If you think they are tough, try small businesses!!
