Question LTR Trunking?

Do you need a System Key for Regular LTR Trunking?
i am unsure how it works, we use a UHF LTR System where i work, and i wanted to buy a radio to put on the system, we go through a company that leases us the channels, does anyone know if you need a system key for LTR?

If this is a regular LTR system you need to figure out the Home channel sequence. If this is a passport LTR system then you can't monitor it with a scanner.

No, what commercial providers usually do is password protect a radio from being read. You can easily write over that though. So if RR is correct you are good to go.
