Programming Help Needed!
Hello,
I need help programming a LTR trunked system into my new Uniden BCT15. Here is what I want:
http://www.radioreference.com/module...me=RR&sid=4465
I am really new to this.
Thanks!

There is a section on LTR programming in the Easier to Read BCT15 manual:
http://myweb.cableone.net/marksscann...T15/bct15.html
It looks like the system may have more frequencies, but maybe not. A better place for a question like this would be the Missouri forum 73s Mike

Still confused... All these numbers ... Can someone take a look at the page I listed and give me step by step instructions? I looked at that page but I don't know what numbers to enter where. It doesn't say which are which on that frequency page.

Let's start here....
http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/LTR
then read the section on LTR programming in the link I gave earlier. The system you want is a LTR standard - so if you were on system 1 group 1 you would need to program frequencies in channels 104, 107 and 110.

Ohh man do I feel stupid. I just realized that this system is for Missouri... I am in Minnesota... whoops! The reason I made this mistake is because we have a school bus company called Laidlaw here too. I wonder if they use the same frequencies??
One thing - where did you get 104,107, and 110 from?

In the erroneous system you supplied, LCNs 4, 7 and 10 had frequencies. To replicate this setup, you would need to basically match the channel numbers in the database with the channel numbers in the group to which you would assign the frequencies. It would be just as correct to use memory channels 004, 007 and 010 - just as long as the LCN pattern is respected, it should work. 73s Mike

On a BCT15 (a DMA radio) you would just supply the LCN number when you enter the frequency, forget what Mike said about those numbers like 104, 004, etc. But in answer to your question about the frequency use being the same, probably not.
Normally I would have moved this thread, but since you have resolved the problem, (somewhat) I will just leave it. This forum is more for discussion of LTR systems, not how to program your scanner. See this thread.

Great! Thanks for the info. I am have never programmed a trunked system before and was confused on what all these numbers mean... Sorry to have posted in the wrong section.

Thanks Lou. I always thought that the channel numbers needed to follow the LCN and that would be an easy way to envision it - but I guess not. 73s Mike

Mike,
It is a DMA radio, they don't have channel numbers. When entering a LCN type TRS (EDACS or LTR), the radio asks for the LCN for each frequency you enter. You can also enter them in any order.
