Default question about programming LTR in PRO97

I live in Billings, Montana and our trunking system runs on only 3 frequecies:

855.2125
856.4625
856.9625

withing these frequencies there are several of these:

855.2125 (frequency)
0-13-110 R13
0-08-156 R17
0-29-078 R21
1-17-082 R22
1-17-106 R22
1-02-053 R24

856.4625 (frequency)
0-08-166 OFF
0-08-064 R00
0-04-032 R00
1-11-187 R03
ect...(19 different ones total for this frequency)

856.9625
14 different ones for this frequency

some of these show
TGID:01
LTR 1-02-013
ID 1-02-013

TGID:00
LTR 0-09-009
ID 0-09-009

How would I program something like this into the PRO 97 to be able to hear everything?

I programmed in what I thought was right, taking the second two numbers and using that as the LCN for the channel and programming in the same frequency but on the different LCN numbers but it won't stop on the channels during scan mode...it just will show a delay in that bank and when I push the Manual button while this delay is occuring I hear the transmission but it won't stop otherwise. Can anyone help??

Thanks

I may be mistaken but does not the pro97 have a setup that will find the right LTR-LCN
for a LTR System ????

I have all the LCN numbers, my issue is there is several LCN's on each frequency with only 3 frequencies. That would mean in programming I would have to put in the same frequency under each different LCN. When I do this it doesn't stop during scan although it will pause in the bank and when I push manual it will go to the channel and listen. I am wondering if I am programming it right.....

According to this, there are 5 possible freq.
http://www.radioreference.com/module...ame=RR&sid=978
You should follow this instruction for all that have activity(2 of 5 may not be active yet)
http://wiki.radioreference.com/index..._LTR_LCN_order
I'm not a Radio Shack owner, but I would say that you should be able to set it to Search TGID's after you have all the LCN freq's programmed. That way you will hear everything. Once you figure out which TGID's you want to hear, you need to enter those in the bank where this system is set up.
Like the advice above, Read the manual on LTR trunking.

Please read http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/LTR There is only one LCN/Frequnecy. The other TGID's are GOTO or "Guest" users on a freq. They were sent from their home LCN to another because their home LCN was busy.
You might also find this useful: Step-by-Step LTR Programming Guide
http://myweb.cableone.net/marksscann...unking_systems
http://myweb.cableone.net/marksscann...talk_group_ids

Note: all of these suggestions are based on having the correct frequencies in the right channel order of the bank they are in.
0-13-110 R13 This would be example of user on home LCN 13
0-08-156 R17 This is probably a guest who's home LCN is 08 on LCN 17

Also, you are getting errors (quite common) in your LCN
Can only be LCN nbrs as high as 20
0-29-078 R21
1-17-082 R22
1-17-106 R22
1-02-053 R24

Typically, systems area codes are either 0 or 1. Your system looks like 0
856.4625 (frequency)
1-11-187 R03 This one probably is an error also.

The lingo for the PRO-97 is "open" mode to allow you to hear all talkgroups.

Program the frequencies into a dedicated bank. Put the frequencies into their correct slots (note that x00 is usually not used). Then put the bank in OPEN mode. As you see talkgroups press TRUNK and the scanner will display "saved". This will help you collect talkgroups.
