Default 462.700/467.700 in York County

Morning All,

Was listening in on the GMRS band the other day and heard some traffic on 462.700/467.700 with a PL of 131.8. Was wondering if anyone knew who this was, and who the owner is. Basically wondering if its open to the public, or open for membership. I'm interested in either case.

Thanks

Brad

I heard it twice once while in biddeford maine, and the other while in South Portland. I could hit the repeater with a 5 watt portable from biddeford so I'm thinking it must be somewhere close, but i guess not certain.

Both times all i heard was carrier and no voice

There is a GMRS repeater in that area....same freq, but different pl according to here:
http://www.g-m-r-s.org/digital/pubs/....2001-0617.txt

This list hasn't been updated for quite some time so pl could have changed since then

****************
C: OPERATIONS
C01. [Local] Name of Repeater ...........: FORT RIDGE
C02. Contact (MHz) Frequency.............: 462.700
C03. Contact PL Tone (not required)......: 141.3
C04. Country.............................: USA
C05. State/Province......................: MAINE
C06. County..............................: YORK
C07. City................................: SHAPLEIGH
C08. Coverage (Est. Miles)...............: 15

If you go to that site, landline, and email for the owner is listed...might be worth a shot

Doug

The FDs in northern York County did use the 462 Mhz freqs back maybe 15 years ago. I think they had 2 channels at least. Those repeaters might still be on the air.

The 462 Mhz channels were in addition to their 460 Mhz freqs. I seem to remember seeing the various channels listed on the wall of the Newfield Fire Station.
