Question Portland Maine Still Trunked?...

I have a couple old RS Pro 95's set up from a few years ago to tune in Portland's trunked frequencies, and other local area PD's and FD's. I haven't used the scanners in about 4-5 years. Is Portland still trunked the same as it was in that time frame? It was difficult to get it programmed, but it worked quite well when set up.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yes Portland is still trunked. But they are now a Motorola Type II Smartnet trunk system. Here is a link to the TRS in the database. Scanner Frequencies: Portland Public Safety Trunking System, Portland, Maine most of the current scanners out there can handle this system but I do not know about the ones you have.

after looking at the PRO-95 information it does support this system.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the quick answer. Seems as though the city of Portland is changing radio systems quite frequently compared to surrounding communities.
