One thing for certain, The MSCOMMNET files here in the Database will get you nothing...a lot of the sites listed were never approved, and lot's of new frequencies, since...having the conventional sites listed right along with the trunked system, will never work...
The most up to date list is here as Jake said, MSCOMMNET Maine State Communications Network - Scan New England Wiki
Not sure what it is going to take to get that added to the RR DB...but everything listed is pretty much wrong,,,

Default READ - IMPORTANT!

(Okay, here we go -

Maine is a big state, MSCOMMNET is all over it, as someone said it's way to big for any one (or even dozen) individuals to be able to profile it properly.

Right now most of MSCOMMNET's activity is that the sites have the control channels up and running, glitches are being ironed out and 100% (AFAIK) of any TG activity has been purely technicians working on the systems. This makes for sparse copy.

The information we have on RR is of questionable accuracy and relevance.

SCAN-NE does have a very active membership that's doing a fair job of keeping their data reasonably up to date in this particular matter. RR thus far not so much.

Right, I for one, do NOT like the idea of lifting data from other sources. And to its credit, RR doesn't either.

This is what I propose doing -

1. Wipe the wiki entry.

2. Wipe what we have in the database.

...(And getting people to do this is going to be the tough part)...

3. We start getting out there in our various areas and we practice the old fashioned and oft not used skills of listening, decoding, logging and reporting what we actually hear on the posited MSCOMMNET frequencies for our areas. Not lift data from elsewhere, not blindly cut and paste from the FCC database - listen, categorize, confirm what we are hearing and start rebuilding the wiki and database!

- I can get (and have) some basic data on the sites in the Saint John Valley, New Sweden, places like that that I can hear. All of you can get other sites near to your locations - you'll need something like Unitrunker or Pro96Com to get the lowdown on what the control channel is sending, what site affiliations exist, etc. We need the membership all over the state to start participating in this so that we can get the information that you all are saying we need.

So, summarizing -

Back to square one, clean out

We do some work - log what's actually real, not plagiarize or blindly import

Accept that data will be sparse for a little while (until the system users actually start using it) but also know that the data we have is accurate!

Your thoughts, gentlemen? It depends on all of us, you know - it's only going to be as good as what you put into it...

Let's have some feedback here!

Since there are also Conventional P25 frequencies allocated.
the "Region Net's" are using analog mode, with a 162.2 PL to this date..
We need to keep everything separate in the Database..so in essence If You submit something,
it can't just be random info..and lumped into one submisssion, or one system in the DB, as it is now.
Makes sense to me, anyway

Will these be backup channels with each assigned to a specific agency or will they be shared like an Interop channel with each agency able to communicate with the other users on the channel?
There will be 7 conventional Solar powered sites, W. Kennabago being one of the 7
They will be P25, but not trunked, so no need to have a CC
During testing phase they have had these linked with some of the TRS sites

The interoperability sites will be part of Region Net. which will be analog to allow comms with local agencies
These I haven't bothered to submit yet, as they are not set in stone yet what they will be

AND to throw another log in the fire, they will have re-broadcasts of the Zone traffic so local agencies can monitor them..These frequencies also are not known yet, and there are some licenses yet to be approved.

1-01-253 looks like it is from a LTR system...
Probably better to post in the Uniden Forum and ask there..I have a 996xt and a 396 XT which are basicaly the same radio. But I don't use Arc XT Pro..

You don't turn on trunking..If you have C-Ch output enabled in the radio..you should be able to hold on that frequency as long as the signal is strong enough, and it will give you site info etc..

Don't forget a lot of what you may find will be MSCOMMNET, so you should make sure if it is something that is already confirmed before making a submission..you can do that by looking at the Wiki on Scan-NE

Everything in the TRS MSCOMMNET Database has been updated...
working on adding the conventional sites next, so might want to update your radios...

Radio Tech's have switch their Talk Group for the last few weeks from 9982 (talk group C) to 134, they have been calling this TG (Sys Comm 1). My Pro96 software has also logged quite a few TG over the last few weeks, they have not been transmitting on many but they may be programming radios, they do not need to voice transmit for the control channel to be sending out affiliation information. What I have so far is 101, 102, 103, 111, 112, 113, 121, 122, 123, 131, 132, 133, 134, 513, 711, 712, 721, 722, 731, 732, 742, 4502, 4503, 4505.

The only one that is active this week was 134. Also they are mostly talking on Zone 2 repeaters for the last 2 weeks, so unless you can get Whitten or Granite for So Paris you may not hear much at this point. Since you have the 996 you should just need to program the C/C channels for Gray, Spruce and Pleasant into 3 different site's under 1 system and keep you scanner on search ID's and not scan ID's while they are still building this system.
Gray - 152.2475 and 150.8825
Spruce - 171.9750 and 168.6875
Pleasant - 160.3500 and 170.0250
If you can get Zone 2
Whitten - 152.1575 and 152.8475
Granite - 161.0400, 171.2750 and 171.7375
Note: These are the current active c/c and voice freq. Harris systems can switch c/c at any time and also have voice transmissions on the c/c as well.
Unless they are doing testing during the day they have been sporadically active 6:30-7:30 am and 4:30-5:30 pm weekdays.

Set up a "system" as MSCOMMNET
Set up your 3 sites, one as Gray, one as Spruce and one as Pleasant.
In each site load the proper freq. for each.
Scan the system with ID search on, you do not need to enter TG as long as your in ID search.
