Tazman, wanted to make sure that you have also submitted all of this information for inclusion in the RRDB? ;-)

I would also like to add that a LARGE amount of Washington County Sheriff's traffic occurs on 154.995 (Regional Communication Center 10.)

A further question: I know that Milbridge, Baileyville and Point Pleasant (Native American Township) broadcast on the County Frequencies. Does anyone know where the other towns that DO have Police Departments (Eastport, Machias, Etc) broadcast?
Since the towns that do have PDs broadcast with the name of their town and Officer Number, I have NEVER heard Eastport, Machias or Jonesport on ANY frequency at any time day or night).

Thanks
DC

Also: 2 Questions:
Does anyone have any information how the Washington Count Sheriff's Department is set up?
I am planning on buying a Summer home in the Cutler area and would be interested in how the County actually works.

Thanks

Three times in the last 5 years, I have made the long trip from NC all the way to Eastport. Their PD operates on 154.025 and I have heard the Fire Dept there also. I have also heard Washington Co. transmit on this frequency when they had traffic for the Eastport units. It is a pretty quiet area, so there is not a lot of talk on the radio except for the Fourth of July activities. The RCMP in New Brunswick has some repeaters nearby and it is always interesting to listen to them to see how they do things. As for Machias, I did hear a little traffic on 154.115 while passing through.

Thanks Steve

I believe that I have seen those frequencies somewhere before.
I will be sure to keep a closer eye on them on my upcoming trip.
NC to Eastport on I 95--that's a LONG ride!!!

Have you eaten at the WACO (no, not THAT Waco--the Washington County) diner on the dock in Eastport?
It is the BEST seafood resataurant I have ever eaten in.
(and that is from a person who grew up less than a mile from the ocean in Massachusetts).

Thanks
