North Berwick Fire and others in York County [northern part] use 460.550 as well as other frequencies North Berwick Highway uses 45.240 [unless it has been changed in the last few years]

Roger that, as far as N.Ber dpw--yeah, last year I heard them on that freq --csq.. How ever, about 6 months ago I was doing a uhf search and happened upon 453.275 with a dc of 114. They were testing and giving my 106 a full signal bar. I looked it up in the fcc database, and found the nearest entity and it was licsensed to N.Ber... Well, I called a few people and nooe knew anything. Then, it was gone. Noone uses it to my knowledge. If I put the 106 into squelch sear5ch-N.H will be there giving it. I get most of N.H D.O.T at my height. 10-3? lol

As soon as the repeater went up.the FD statring testing on it. A friend of a friend told me their new plan.. Now, as far as who is liscensed for what--the DPW is on 153.770-192.8--not 153.775 as the FCC indicates. So, P.Gagong is no longer 151.835 csq-as it was last year. They have a brand new 3 element yagi pointing towards Mt.Aggie.. Havent been able to get their new freq. Yesterday, I got a hit on my signal stalker-151.595--203.5... Very close. Fcc has no mention of that freq close by. I am GUESSING it may be them. If you havent seen P.Gagnons yagi-its at the base of the old antenna-which the -manager- of gagnons-wanted to sell me that antenna for $100.00... Offered to buy their old 1 at the old shop-owner still hasnt got back to me---6 months later..No go. I cant believe they actually broke down and provided the teachers radios. They share it with Central school. Thats that-neighbor.

453.275 was the input to the 159.090 repeater yrs back [unknown if it's still used] They had a wierd setup back in 01] Wish I still had my old books When I lived there I had frequencies not many knew about. In fact when NBPD went to 090 at first it was a chitchat channel and they didn't know for 6 months I had the freq in scanners lol [I was a friend to a few officers there as well as the other towns] I'll have to do some looking into it with some folks I know.

I remember a few years back, 1 night their repeater FRIED, . They had to switch to grey-AFTER a failed attempt on using statewide--I remember Grey saying 1 night, " are we going to have the same problems as last night? You can hear us, but we can't hear you" I got a verbally excellent memory. When I need it. They then went to state police freq-156.150. 1 day-they were gone, and back on their original channel.159.090..

I heard a rumor that the three Berwicks were building a MotoTRBO system and that these changes were just temporary until that happens in 2013

Well, 12-21-12 has come and left its mark. Unfortunately, I have nothing new to add. But, I ran through the list, nothing new. C.M.P now reporting sun was coming out-whereever they are. All I can say is---imagine if that was snow/wet snow, of freezing rain all day. THAT would be a MEGA disaster. Anyone got a story on this day of weather in York County Maine.

That's a myth. In order for them to go on that system, they would have to do alot of pleading with someone I'm sure. 50 radios to be replaced per town, nah, I dont think so. Sanford dispatch would undergo too many changes. Rumors can be bought and sold. Do a search on the equipment costs-radio techs fee's, You think the tri Berwick area will spend that much money without public support? We got enough problems around here without that -rumor-.

AMEN on that I know the Berwicks very well and North Berwick was my hometown so I know what they will spend their money on LOL. Something like that? NO WAY!!
Back in 2000/2001 we had UHF radios installed in ALL trucks, the chief's car, AND BOTH stations. [it cost quite a bundle] just to beable to talk with Wells, and Sanford, and Lebanon in M/A calls.

Right on bro-I cant speak for North Berwick, I know Berwick had a repeater problems on the P.D side of the repeater.4 years later, they got fixed. Only in an emergency did they go to their freq. Well. I dont know what they did over there, but here-I observed everything I could. I must say-that magical day the tower went up, we had a boom truck, 5 guys standing around watching 1 man do the work. WAY UP. Now, thats gotta be $200.00 an hour. Thats a conventional analog system. Dont forget the guys in the P.D tamperring with the equipment--$$$$. So, I'd guess -guess--$500.000.00. That includes everything I can think of...Oh, and the D.P.W, would be redone. I stand at 500k..If it ever does come to a vote, I will be ready. You know how many N.H dispatchers say_you went digital, try again.. If anything, they'd go coded like Wells. York dont-nor sanford-state-even Portland is analog.Thx reedeb..

Not sure i would dismiss that so quickly I heard they were going digital and that both s berwick and berwick were buying digital capable radios for the last few years in preparation... All NH PD's in this area are already p25 digital save for a few up north and out west

P25 capable--thats a little different than MOTOTRBO. Kittery is p25 CAPABLE. That means they can talk to the neighbor on their terms-P25. I've heard Kittery talk to Portsmouth N.H in their terms, chasing a drunk. However, Rollinsford is analog capable, they call S.B now and then. He would call dispatch direct. But, we cannot call -them- direct-we/they have to call Straaford dispatch-which in turn would tell Rollinsford what we want them to know. Ive been wonderring about a system going in so we dont have to call, but hit a channel and call them direct. Like a B.A.P.E.R.N.. refer to (Mass bapern.) the same can be said about Berwick and Somersworth. North Berwick has noone P25 to talk to. Just sanford and Wells-analog. REMEMBER, we all HEARD 12.-21-12 was the end of the earth. Alot of people freaked the night before-what happened? Nadda. Besides, who is worried? Let em go P25. Its not like I dont have the equipment to hear it. FACTS, we need facts. However, I CAN say that 2-way of Newington is constantly mentioned. My P.D is even taking trips to them. AND the 2way set up is constantly failing here. They have to reboot every other dayit seems. rome wasnt built in a day-neither was a perfect radio set up. Still aint.

Speaking of P25, I got a weird p25 system in the area--151.595, as I mentioned befiore- I had a hit on my 106 that was 151.595 with a pl of 203.5-and they were talking about a delivery. Figur that out later, this weir p25 bursts keep my pro 84 stopping on it. Now and then you hear that sound continue for 10-20 seconds.

All I know is when my girlfriend dragged me to the straberry fair last June, the cruiser, fire truck and ambulance I saw there all had XTL2500 digital mobiles in them.

I too have heard the digital signal on 151.595, but it sounds more like NXDN than P25. As far as P. Gagnon goes, I have seen UHF antennas on their trucks, and the yagi on their office is a UHF antenna. I have also heard what sounds like MotoTRBO on 152.270 and 152.435.

Well if NH has gone digital they would have to have comms to chat with them as well. that's my guess
