Default Aroostook County ME - ????

1. Do Ashland police and fire share 155.085 R?

2. Is Blaine FD still using 46.58?

3. Is Bridgewater FD still using 39.50 ?

4. Does Caribou use 453.25 for a FD link? Do they use 154.22 for DPW?

5. Does Eagle Lake FD use a 155.19 repeater with 158.745 as the input?

6. Does Fort Fairfield FD use 460.575 as a link freq?

7. Is 153.95 the input for the Fort Kent FD repeater on 155.145 R?

8. Does Houlton FD use 453.30 as a link channel?

9. Anyone have a PL for Haynesville FD or Smyrna FD on 154.055?

10. Does Presque Isle FD still use 33.90?

11. Does Washburn FD use primarily 154.085 or 156.21?

12. The County Sheriff dispatchs 16 FDs per their website. I guess this means that they use 16 different channels (from the looks of the info in the database). Or are all FDs actually paged on 155.10 or 154.055?

I can only help a little.

Caribou Fire Dept is still using 453.250 PL 71.9 (channel 2).

Caribou Highway Dept has gone MotoTrbo (It used to be 154.22, but I didn't bother to find out if the frequency is the same)

Presque Isle Police (155.040) and Fire (154.385) Departments are both now MotoTrbo.

I don't believe anyone in the state is using 33.90 anymore.

Washburn is using both those frequencies and I believe 154.085 PL 192.8 is primary. (156.210 PL 151.4)

I believe that The Sheriff's Office dispatches all the smaller Fire Depts on 154.055 with different tones for each town. They normally test daily between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM with a separate call to each town. Some will answer and some won't.

"xx Fire this is a test, only a test. Aroostook clear at (time)"

Unfortunately, I don't have my external scanner antenna hooked up due to lack of funds, although it is mounted in place so I can't pick up the tests from home.

Blaine's license for 46.58 expires next month 2/05/2013

Bridgewater's license for 39.50 expired 3/14/2012

Mark - thanks alot for the info. I am trying to sort it all out. I have started by putting together a map of fire stations in Aroostook County. https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...35056a88&msa=0

this map is more basic

I noticed that Aroostook County has a bunch of UHF links licensed. They might be useful for monitoring.

Ooops - my mistake. Washington County has UHF channels for links. I am not sure if Aroostook County has any.

1. Just because there is a Fire Department (FD) listed in the 2011 Annual Report (AR) from the Maine State Fire Marshall (SFM), that does not mean that a FD actually exists. For example, Blaine is apparently served by the Mars Hill FD. But you will find both FDs listed in the SFM AR. Perhaps because there is a formal coverage agreement in effect between the 2 towns.

2. Pulling all the radio channel info together, these are the outstanding FD questions.

What are the PLs for - Allagash FD 154.40 - Eagle Lake FD 155.19 - Easton FD 154.25 - Fort Fairfield FD 155.985 - Frenchville FD - Grand Isle FD 158.745 - Limestone FD 155.205 - Mars Hill FD 154.01 - Oakfield FD 154.055 - Portage lake 155.955.

What are the FD freqs for Bridgewater?

If the County Sheriff dispatches 16 FDs on 154.055, is it SOP for all comms to shift to the local FD freq when the local fire station / local radio base station is manned? It seems that every FD in the county has their own local channels. Question is - how are they used?

Is it possible that Haynesville FD is dispatched by Penobscot County on 153.74R?

Does Patten Ambulance run some sort of fire dispatch system?

Does Aroostook Medical Center run some sort of fire dispatch system?

Adjacent Washington County seems to have a very different radio system. Most FDs in Washington County might have just 3 channels - 154.19 dispatch - 154.28 fireground - 154.31 statewide.

Also need to know Stockholm FD freq, and PL for North Lakes FD on 154.175 in order to have a complete list of PLs and freqs for the fire departments in Aroostook County Maine.
