Default freq request

Hello there, a request for Central Lincoln County Ambulance frequency.

They routinely come on Loncoln Co Fire Dispatch, but it is not their dispatch or primary ops channel.

Thanks
Chris

Thank you, do you mind me asking where you got that information? I've got a few other services I'd like to look up...

Thanks
Chris

I get it from the same place everyone else gets information, the official FCC database.

http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsS...chAdvanced.jsp

In this case, searched for licensee name 'central', in state 'maine', and look through the list given. Note that licensee name must be what it STARTS with, if you put in 'lincoln', for instance, it gives you licensees whose names begin with lincoln, not ones like 'central lincoln'.

It's a learned skill using the database, but it's very versatile. You can find out the latitude and longitude of where you're interested in (google earth, perhaps), and do a search of all services and frequencies within 'x' number of miles of that point, for instance.

You narrow things down with what you know, such as, if you know from looking they're using uhf or 800, you can specify only '400 MHz' to '1000 MHz', and eliminate bunches of stuff, etc.
