Default Federal Freqs?

Was wondering if anyone in the state of Maine has logged any federal frequencies. Ive been doing some searching through the bands with the PSR-500 but have yet to really hear anything. Thats even after plugging in frequencies I looked up on the Wiki.

Anybody got anything?

Thanks!

I logged some here and there when I lived up that way........like bigdaddy said customs/border mostly up North.....logged a few in Portland and Bangor....best bet - search 163-170 mhz and 400-420 mhz - most likely in Digital and I hate to say it but most likely encrypted (sigh!)

Try plugging in 169.625.. I didn't catch a pl
Right at 10:00 am this morning,
I heard a rollcall, but didnt get the beginning of it, or who was conducting it..
and there were no responses..

It was in the clear,
I am in central Somerset County, with some elevation, and was loud here
I will try to remember tomorrow am to listen again

About 8am-10am Mon-Fri "Central" aka Boston Field Office conducts a Radio Roll Call with the RA's [Resident Agent] Offices in the New England States [Except CT and VT].

Search 162-174 at 12.5 Khz and look for the tell-tale 167.9 Hz Tone.

Let us know what else you hear and what Region/Area of the State you are in.

Well that confirms who it is. FBI

Sometimes when the Repeaters lock up [usually a telco issue] they key up multiple other repeaters as well. Keep up the hunt
