Default USCG freqs

I received a file from someone with these frequencies. I assume they are all USCG frequencies but I have had them in my radio for several months and haven't received anything on them, except for some NOAA weather broadcasts while travelling between Charleston & Savannah. Can anyone explain them to me & let me know the likelihood of hearing anything on them. They eat up scanning time & I get alot of interference on several of them so I have to keep my squelch up. Thanks.

To be succinct, that list is CRAP!

Some of the freqs are valid, though not really used by the USCG or DHS. Others are simply plain old VHF Marine band channels. A lot are old (based on the listed channel use/name, but still active) counternarcotics task force type channels/

Your best bet is to throw out the list, lose the contact info for the person who sent it to you, and then look around here for info on what you want to monitor, then ask specific questions about things you haven't found the answers to.

That's suspiciously old - those 380 mhz freqs listed were vacated some time ago because many new mil and fed trunk systems are using those frequencies.

It very well may be. I never picked up a transmission from a USCG helicopter.
Lots of activity on maritime frequencies.

I've only caught USCG Helo's in the VHF band [Lants, now CG's] when not operating on the VHF Marine channels.

Helos into and out of CGAS Atlantic City will use the UHF frequencies. I don't get over there very often, but I have heard helo traffic on the CG UHF frequencies there in the past year.

Specifically, I have heard the helos on 345.000 AM.

345.000 - USCG Aircraft UHF Ops Primary
237.900 - USCG Aircraft UHF Ops Secondary
326.150 - USCG Aircraft UHF Working Primary
379.050 - USCG Aircraft UHF Working Secondary

Thanks for your responses. I will go through that website and cull pertinent freqs from it. I am mostly interested in SAR & enforcement activity. Appreciate the help.

SAR stuff should mostly take place on the VHF Marine channels reserved for CG use, like 21A/22A/23A & others.

LE activity can be on them, but is supposed to be on their relatively new P-25 network outside of the VHF Marine band, plus of course HF and/or SATCOM if-capable & when necessary.

Yes, when communicating with other assets, but it also occurs on other VHF
channels, assigned for the CG.

164.5500 is a Common Air-Air channel for CG Air Sta. Cape Cod.

Also the P25 can be used on the CG VHF Marine channels and has been used
in New England from time-time. [Might of been by Accident, might not...]
