Default Route 50 Accident with Two Priority 1 patients

AA Co. units dispatched to vehcile accident with roll over just past Exit 30 on eastbound RT 50. Disptacher noted that an off duty paramedic reports two priority 1 patients.
ENG 19-1 AMB 199, Medic 6 ,AMB 46-9 and PM 35
EMS 3, ENG 46-3.

Weather radar looks ominous for MSP trooper if needed.

It sounds like the accident scene is being handled by AAPD. Dispatcher says that MSP can't get there(?????) . Units are going east on westbound 50 to the accident.

AAPD units keep saying "switch down" but I can't find what TG they are going to.

PM 35 requesting unit with RSI capablity. Either EMS 1, PM 18 or Medic 4 will be sent.

AAFD has two patients to be driven to Shock Trauma . One by PM and another by AMB 199 to meet PM 18 entroute.
The problem is how to get units out of what sounds like complete gridlock on both eastbound and westbound Rt 50.

Default Msp

Not hearing any traffic on MSP Annapolis 39.14. Looks like they are on Glen Burnie 39.04.

Lots of confustion here at the Bay Bridge. AACPD seems to be on scene command with Toll Facility police as a major back up. Not much MSP one scene.

A very poor response for the State Police. A overturne fatal, a boat in the travel portion, a bail out 10-55 and many other minor events at fifty and cape st clair. Fifty must be closed in both directions and backed up for miles.

What is "RSI." What's the reason for different designations for paramedic unit, e.g. Medic 6 and PM35?

RSI is Rapid Sequence Intubation. The first time I heard it mentioned I did some searching to learn what it was. Obviously if you need RSI, it is not a good thing.

As I understand it, the Medic/Paramedic identification in AA county has to do with staffing

Paramedic = two paramedics
Medic= one paramedic and another provider.
