Default 4th alarm dwelling(s) - Shore Drive Annapolis area

Annapolis, Anne Arundel, and Calvert (and later Queen Anne) units running a 4th alarm dwelling fire in Shore Drive in Arundel on the Bay (Annapolis, Anne Arundel County).

BC-35 arrived found dwelling 50% involved with serious exposure problems - immediately requested 2nd alarm and then third alarm.

BC-35 eventually had to abandon his command post and unit.... advised they would probably lose hist unit and Engine 36.

Wires down in the street due to the fire and fire extended to multiple units. Propane tanks venting causing concerns for explosion.

Water supply problems - now have 4th alarm, 3 fireboats, and 2 additional medic units enroute (update: ended up with only Fireboat 41).

AACoFD Dep Ch 1 now in command - additional dwellings involved.

Now dispatching a fireboat from Queen Anne County and also from Calvert County.

Numerous Eastern Shore and Calvert County Units transferring in - just heard Talbot County Tanker 53 (Cordova?) transferring to Herald Harbor (Crownsville)!!!!!!!

0043 update: requesting 5th alarm (non-emergency) to assist with mop-up. Earlier status suggesting at least two exposure (neighboring) dwellings are a total loss - still suppressing fire in the original dwelling

Talbot County Tankers assigned to filled West Annapolis and Shady Side stations - PG Engine 10 (Laurel) sent to Station 35 (Forest Drive).

Yikes! Having your command buggy and first-in Engine burn up is not the best career enhancer!
Any updates on this?
Is AA streamed online anywhere?

5th alarm requested by Battalion Chief 3 at 0040 (cold response). Also requesting salt trucks for ice build-up.

Here is a link to the story in the Annapolis newspaper.
http://www.hometownannapolis.com/cgi...8/12_08-03/TOP

The winds along the Bay were still up during the fire. The following link is observations from the Thomas Point Shoal lighthouse that show winds gusting to 20 kts. at the time of the blaze.

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=tplm2

The light is not too far ESE of the location of the fire.

It was reported that Engine 36 had some minor damage. Some of the plastic lenses on the drivers side rear, as well as some of the rubber trim around the roll up doors had melted.
