Default Bay Bridge Jumper

Around 11AM multiple AA County units and Dive Team alerted for a reported jumper.
Later info was that a female wearing a blue jacket leap from the center span of the westbound bridge. The location was marked by MdTA police. Also realted activity on DNR police VHF and Marine VHF.

Land units from AA and QA counties have been placed in service. Given the time in the water and the distance of the fall it was decided that no EMS units needed to remain at Sandy Point State Park. AA County FB 61 and 35, QA Boat 1, and DNR and USCG to continue looking.

Respond for a drowning on the westbound side of the Bay Bridge.
Respond Hot on echo.
Unit’s 23 are going to meet at Sandy Point State Park.
Engine 191 and Paramedic 17 are staging at the MTA building. MTA deploying a buoy from the bridge. Fireboat 35 has ASL capabilities on board for your information. Coast Guard in route. Confirmed jump on center span westbound span. An eyewitness saw the subject in the water at marker 34.6 center span. Quint 23 tells Fire Alarm no divers will be going into water because the person jumped into the shipping channel. Fireboat 35 and 611 starting to search. EMS 3 staging with quint 23. Queen Anne’s Fireboat 1 doing a search parallel. Winds are moving toward the Eastern Shore. AAPD taking witness to speak with MTA police. Quint 23 asks when call originated. Call originated at 10:58. Command saying individual has been in the water for 45 minutes. All land units have been placed in service. Over an 1 hour. Fireboat 61 has command. MTA buoy is red and white. Fireboats are going to search the channel. Trooper 6 in route

It sounded like they got the person. I am not sure if alive or dead.

DNR made the recovery and transfered the person to FB 35 that had an ALS provider on board. After consult with AAMC , priority 4 confrimed.

Baydog,

Did NRP use their 155.37 freq - or another one? Anything on 151.205? I'm still trying to clearly sort out how their new channel-plan is structured.

I was hearing DNR 3xx units with Tawes on 155.37.

Great - thanks. I'm going to try to dig up that somewhat recent thread on NRP freqs and see what consensus we can get on the bandplan....then aim to get out database better updated.
