This is from Anne Arundel County Police Press Releases:
ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY ARRESTS CROFTON
On March 23, 2009, at approximately 1036 hours, officers from the Western District
responded to the Arundel Federal Savings Bank at 2046 Davidsonville Road in Crofton for a
report of a robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses and bank employees, who advised that a male
subject entered the front door of the bank wearing a ski mask an armed with a handgun. The
suspect was in the vestibule area of the bank and was unable to gain access to the main portion of
the bank as the doors locked once the metal detectors went off. Next, the suspect began yelling
for someone to open the door. He then fired at least one shot through the front door and was only
able to slip out after he kicked out the bottom part of the door. The suspect ran east towards a
nearby apartment complex, where he entered a waiting vehicle. A lookout was subsequently
broadcast. A vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description was later stopped in the area of Rt.
50 and I-97. The weapon used in the incident was recovered from the vehicle and the suspects
were arrested and charged.
Suspect #1: Darell Alfred, 25, of 3906 92nd Avenue, Springdale, MD 20774. He was charged
with Attempted Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery, Reckless Endangerment and
Destruction of Property.
Suspect #2: Maurice Antoine King, 24, of 9118 Ardwick Ardmore Road, Springdale, MD
20774. He was charged with Attempted Robbery and Attempted Armed Robbery.

They are free and they send it to your email. Here is a link to AA County Police Press Release Sign up: AACOPD Home Page
The AA Fire Press Sign Up is Fire Department HomePage

They send info on the things you hear and listen to on the scanner.
