Hello,

There are 6 channels in the AACo trunked system labeled as RINS 1-6. Anybody know what these are, and their associated frqs/tg's?

Thanks,

This brings up a good point....with all of the focus on the construction of a network for I-CALL & I-TAC interop in much of MD, I do have to wonder what precisely will be the role of the RINS freqs.

The Powerpoint presentation I linked on the CMARC thread still show the RINS freqs used for some tactical situations....

n3bxv,

I don't have power point at home and thus cannot open the other link....so there is a reference to RINS use for tactical situations? On scene comms at a major event?

It references both situations and says that the RINS channels & 8-TAC direct channels will be used as "Low power talk around channels for Intra-agency & Inter-agency operational communications" and "8-TAC D and/or RINS can be utilized for operational subgroups" in the different scenarios presented in the presentation.
