Anbody know why on Frederick County Fire TG16048 ("A" Main) that the dipatch tones for the stations are coming through on this? Only use to be able to hear them on the 46.34 and 163.845 simulcast frequencies.

Not sure what you mean on this one. I've always been able to hear the tones on 16048, which is the main TG for dispatch. The old 46.340 remains in operation, at least, until it finally dies for lack of parts, as does the main pager channel, 153.845.

Actually, the dispatch tones were never heard on the TRS. The tones are put out over 153.845 MHz, and simulcast over 46.34 MHz. When the dispatch tones stop, dispatcher begins verbalizing on the TRS and these transmissions are simulcast over 153.845 and 46.34. However, recently, I have also noticed the tones coming over the TRS--but only some of the time. Maybe the County is trying this out because some of the simulacast transmissions on A-Main are being missed over the fire fighters' pagers while the tones are going off. Thus, if the tones are also going over the TRS A-Main, no one can speak and therefore, no tranmissions are missed on members' pagers. Just a thought.
