For any of you that listen to or for them...

According to a post on the Watchdesk, the dispatch tones for Paramedic 12, Paramedic 13, and Ambulance 289 were changed. Paramedic 13 is being dispatched with both tones; the other two units are now using only the new tones. According to a couple of the posters, they now sound like an all-call or battalion call rather than a unit call... I think it will just take some getting used to. Could be a sign of more changes to come too, as 13 and 28 are getting 1 and 1 units.

Credit for info goes to: RES1CUE @ TWD.

Now that you mention it - there have been additional tones being
sent for a medical call at numerous stations - including Odenton.
I've been thinking about what this tone is... sounds like a "Battalion
All-Call" tone (single pair of tones to alert every unit in the battalion)...
but it ain't that...

I'm not sure (right at this moment) that I agree this tone is a
replacement tone as Odenton has had 1 set of tones for FIRE
dispatch and a 2nd set of tones for the AMBULANCE. To my
knowledge (at this moment), both of those are still being used -
this "all-call" sounding tone is being sent "in addition to" the other
tones....

However, I could be wrong and things may have changed... I'll
be listening closely today...

Oh, crapola. I just read on TWD that they reassigned MU28 to MU27. 28 isn't getting it! Bring on the s---storm! Nice of them to sneak that in on the weekend before it's supposed to go live.

According to an unnamed source, the chain of command was overridden at the executive level and the unit was reassigned.
