Any info would be greatly appreciated if known.

Hi Ed,
I suspect GOLD 32 is supporting another Coronet to Moron tonight. No idea what the
fighters are or where from, but it looks like a 2300z-0200z departure window tonight.
Happy listening !!
René.

Was odd logs for sure.GOLD 01 callsign may have actually been short for
GULL 01 and 02.Thought I heard SEAGULL callsign as well.GULL or GOLD hard to tell.
Could have been some US Navy types working offshore NAS Oceana hence no other local USAF tie-ups.
They all faded shortly after that.226.800 also shows as Boston Ctr dep freq for Albany NY but not sure related.

Mark,
That was RUFF-07 or ROUGH-07 (unsure of callsign spelling) with BuNo 164404, the E-6B from VQ-4. They just wrapped up at 11:25.

Normally only have a cap when the President decides to spend time at Camp David. The notam is usually issued in mid-week and is labeled Hagerstown/Thurmont MD.

1543: Sure was Travis...w/Potomac TRACON 119.3 at 4400 feet for runway 19R at ADW...119.3 (Picked him up on Mode-S at 1535)
1545: AF1 (82-8000) to ADW Tower...cleared to land, will call with gear...118.4
SAM 93 (C-32A, 99-0003, 1st AS) landed at 1532
I kind of thought they have been holding back 92-9000 to get it all spiffy with new stuff for #44. Guess they're going to stick with 82-8000 for now at least.

BLUE 75 and RETRO 25 (x2)
Picked up these guys since 0025z
ID as F-16 (x2)
Freqs so far in order of hearing them:
138.000 A-A
282.200 ZBW Montpelier, VT
307.000 ZBW Augusta, ME
368.500 ZQM Yarmouth, NS
270.800 ZQM Clarendon, NB
368.500 ZQM (went back to this after 270.800)
0207z 124.300 BLUE 75 working Moncton Center, accepting MARSA with RETRO 25 flight.
0210z 391.000 BLUE 75 and RETRO 25 (x2) Boom freq. (Coronet 21 B Primary)
0211z 138.000 RETRO flight A-A.
I wonder if these were Vermont F-16s? They flew right over my location as a two ship with no tanker.
Comms were booming in here and as of 0213z, their A-A of 138.000 is still loud and clear. As they were
nearing Nova Scotia, they are picked up by BLUE 75 for the crossing.

Nice catch Ed. The BLUE 75 tanker might just be a KC-135R, 63-8872, from the 132nd ARS at Bangor. Guess we won't know for sure until the flight arrives on the other side.
**********************************
Ref message #900 above:
Also finally noted SOONER 81 departing Andrews at 1945 local to resume his flight from last evening. Guess it took a long time to fix that broken HF radio. I would have thought they'd just replace it rather than stranding them for the entire day. OTOH, perhaps it was a mandatory 24 hour crew rest that delayed them until this evening since they've still got a long flight ahead of them.

Thanks Alan. I didn't hear BLUE 75 take off but we'll know soon enough where he's from.
I did hear SOONER 81 up this way working NY Radio and I'm now listening to him on a Moncton Center
live feed. I'm hoping to catch the Blue flight on the live feed.
I will post details soon in my daily log. Still typing it up.

Its a LOS Line of Sight WBFM UHF encrypted com system used on AF-1 and others.
When airborne on various UHF freqs like above it is very strong and you get a modem
static buzz just like a open mike with tone in background at least 100-200 miles out.
I think Monitoring Times has article on this.
Mark
ref below.. Thanks Dave, will add that to my lineup. No wonder I couldn't find in ZNY/ZDC listings.
Do you happen to have a UHF pairing with that?
