Default Baltimore County

This may have been discussed by someone before but i can seem to figure out whats whats.

Baltimore County Fire talk group dispatch is 16.

What are the most commonly used Charlies?

(Like Baltimore City has the Charlie 1 154.385)

i've looked in the RR Database and there are so many, I just want the main ones used!

Raceman,

Unless there is a truly major incident w/ multiple TGs assigned, you'll hear most comms on the 3 response TGs (ID# 48, 80, 112) and on the "TAC" TGs ending in -2 ....for example, B1TAC12, B4TAC42, etc. When a big incident occurs, other TGs are used.

raceman005 & others:
The reason Baltimore City FD uses C1 as the first fireground talkgroup is due to the layout of the XTS3000. It is easier to quickly flip the ABC switch all they way from A to C without looking, than it is to stop at the B detent and make sure thats where you want to be. When the system first went into operation, B1 was the first fireground channel assigned, but they came to realize that many users were accidentally selecting C1 in the rush to get dressed.

Default Fireground Channels

One more thing... you mention Charlie channels in your previous post. Just to clarify... Baltimore City uses Charlie 1, 2, 3, etc. as their designation. The correct term is a Tac Channel or Fireground Channel.

Just FYI.
