Default Help picking scanner (TRS mainly) for Montgomery County area (DC-METRO)

RE: Purchasing a trunk tracker for DC-Metro area..

I'm new to TRS scanning which is why I'm posing the following. Take it easy on me I'm a newbie =p

I would normally post this in a scanner forum but I specifically would like advice as to the Montgomery County, MD areas (DC-Metro).

I'm thinking of either a hand held or base station / mobile.

My purpose would be listening in the car, walking around, or in the house.. also for keeping logs to post on the forums of course!!

I'm particularly interested to know peoples experience with the Montgomery County TRS.. sensitivity, interface w/ computer, and pros cons... I remember reading about some of the cons like echoing due to receiving multiple transmit sites on TRS's and wanted info on experiences with Montgomery County TRS..

Good places either online or stores near-by would be much appreciated as well.
I KNOW,... There are a lot of FAQs and I have read them but do not quite understand them and unfort. I have a neck/back injury which makes it difficult to use the computer so I can't do a lot of sitting and researching =(

I would be grateful for any input in these regards and sorry If this is not the appropriate place to post it (if not.. which forum??)

post here or send a private message to me on RR

Thanks in advance!!,

Jay
Montgomery County, MD

sorry again if this isn't the appropriate forum but as I stated earlier, I want locational advice to the DC-Metro area systems and general coverage etc
