The PSR300 will not copy Howard trunk, nor will it handle Baltimore city nor Anne Arundel PD. These are all digital in nature, and the PSR300 is an analog only scanner. I'd suggest returning it and do some research (starting with our wiki, and the numerous threads on the subject) on which is better. The 396XT from Uniden seems to be getting high marks for digital audio recovery, and has a lot more bells/whistles to it than the 500. But the 500 also seems to work well for audio recovery. You can start by looking here (anything in blue is a link)

Baltimore county is all analog, but I suspect that you are going to be disappointed anyway...

And Baltimore County won't be analog for long. The PSR300 is a waste of money in the central MD area. Take it back and save your $$ for a digital scanner.`
