U.S. Naval Academy & PRO-96
I'm trying to add the Naval Academy's frequencies to my PRO-96 with Win96, but the control channels (386.31250) rounds up. Anyone know how I can enter these channels, or have any tips?

Can't change the step size? Might be an exercise in frustration anyway because...
The PRO-96 is not set up to hear the milair band. Opening it up with Win96 opens the freqs so the radio will tune them, but the sensitivity can vary from real good to junk and everything in between. In addition I'm not sure the 96 can tune these freqs in NFM or FM mode? 73 Mike

US Naval Academy is a P25 trunking system and cannot be scanned with Pro96/2096 as they aren't able to trunk scan 385 or 764 MHz trunking systems. Need GRE-500/600 or Pro-106/197 Or Uniden 396/996 series.

In theory, I should still be able to decode all of the channels though with the PRO-96, even if I can't track talkgroups, right? In the PRO-96 manual, it says it will decode P-25 systems.
I don't know, I'm not an expert on this stuff.

Check Extended Frequencies box and program the 4 frequencies in FM Mode. Lockout the current control frequency. The scanner should handle any rounded frequency.

Thanks, I checked the "extended frequencies" box, but 386.3215 still changed to 386.315. Any other ideas?

Thanks, I plugged in the frequencies, let them round and I'm able to hear the comms fairly well. I also hooked it up to pro96comm and was able to get the system identifier information: base: 380, spacing 12.5kH; offset: 10; Plugged those into the extended trunking tables, but got nothing.
In theory, using the extended trunking tables with win96 should allow the PRO-96 to trunk the mil-air system, right?

Annapolis is 385 MHz P25 trunking. Pro96Com, 380 and 12.5 is Motorola VHF or UHF trunking systems. 380 is the offset (or first go to channel for Motorola and 12.5 is spacing.in KHz. Base is usually in 150 MHz range for VHF trunking and 400-500 MHz range for UHF trunking.
See Scanner Frequencies: National Institutes of Health Trunking System, Various, Maryland or Scanner Frequencies: United Airlines (BWI Airport) Trunking System, Baltimore, Maryland for examples in your area. None of this is mil-air.
The 385 system for this topic is located at Scanner Frequencies: Joint National Capital Region (Fort Belvoir) Trunking System, Various, Multi-State
Also, from your previous "In the PRO-96 manual, it says it will decode P-25 system." Pro 96 will decode all unencrypted voice P25 frequencies but for systems, it will only decode 150-160 VHF, 400-500 UHF or 800/900 trunking systems. 385 and 764 systems cannot trunk track with this scanner.
