question for you if you can answer it,I have been down in Ridge for the last two weeks and have been listening to the scanner.I have noticed that most stations are toned out regularly,but then I have noticed that some are then toned out using what sounds like a touch tone pad,any reasing behind that.

The DTMF tones operate the air-raid type sirens located at each station.

oh ok then that would explain,when I heard co.4 get put on a call I did not hear the house siren go off but saw people going to the station.
