Default Montgomery County TG 6992

I've been hearing traffic on Montgomery County talkgroup 6992, which I don't see in the radioreference database. Sounds like maybe a highway courtesy van or safety van. Anyone know about this?

Perhaps it is State Highway's CHART program. They popped up one day on Frederick's 800 system last year...

Ive been keeping notes on the unid talkgroups. 2gigch1, I think you may be correct being the CHART program. I'm always hearing traffic related chit-chat. Some of the chit-chat I am hearing: "SB-I270 they're putting the barrels down. 10-4 they called..." ect...

Default in addition...

I monitor Montgomery County TRS as my primary ScanList. (There's lots of activity.. especially weekdays)

I constantly hear units calling "TMC"? or some sort of traffic management department, reporting accidents, broken-down vehicles, highway obstructions, etc. Often a few min. upon hearing it on 6992, I happen upon the call on MC fire/police or vice versa .

Also I've heard units out "on scene with MSP" with a disabled motorist etc..
Never actually seen the vehicles but I have seen a lot of yellow finished new looking SHA light trucks etc on 270.

I have it programmed in on my PRO-106 as "TMC? UNID" as I've heard a lot of references to traffic management/spotters (above).

The one thing that distinguished it from the TMC TGs was that radio traffic was more formal using 10-codes, unit numbering, and timestamps.
