MDC QUESTION

I can just see the people [police/fire.rescue] on the filed typing while they are there.

Maybe this is why the fire/rescue has 3 people so 1 can use the MDC while the other drives & othe other one is with a sick person on the way to the hospital.

I can just see it now, they are on a call & need to spell out something [may have spellchecker in it]. Also they must be pre programmed by the shop for each different type of agency.

ECC [hear them call it PSCC now - guess because of the non emergency stuff]

I don't know how other agencies use MDTs, but Suffolk County NY PD sends jobs to the cars by MDT (you often hear an officer saying "send me xxx"). The officer doesn't type while he's driving.
