Default Need help pick up MSP forestville

I cant receve any brodcast on my scanner From Maryland state police 39.3000. I have prograned 3 diffrent scanners 1 portable and 2 base statons, tryed every diffrent ant the i could find to pick up MSP Forestville in my office in bowie Maryland. I have no problum picking up PG county fire and police so it makes me think i have something programed wrong in the scanner. I am using a radio shack pro 2050 and a Uniden BC785D with no luck. Shawn,

MSP is on lowband, so you will need more than the handheld rubber duck or back of the scanner antennas. You maybe able to receive the base from inside the house, but will not hear the cars unless very close. The PG PD and FD operates on UHF with a repeater and MSP operates on lowband simplex. The repeater is rebroadcasting the mobiles with a very high antenna with more output power. Simplex requires you to hear the mobiles directly. An outside antenna is really needed to have any range receiving lowband signals.
