Hey,

Does anybody know if there is a way to access the new trunking system for the Goucher College Public Safety frequency? They upgraded to a digital system over the summer on the same frequency and all there is is the diesel-engine-trunked-frequency-sound.

Any input/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like it may be a proprietary protocol like Mototrbo which uses one frequency to create two digital voice slots. Not scan-able.

Just to make a slight correction...

MOTOTRBO is based on an open standard called DMR (Digital Mobile Radio). The 'over-the-air' protocol (a.k.a. CAI - Common Air Interface) is not proprietary. Conventional simplex and repeater systems are not proprietary. The trunking formats are proprietary.
