Default Balt City Live Feed

Does anyone else think the audio on the Baltimore City live feed sounds over-driven? If the owner is here, consider turning down the volume a bit and lets see if that sounds better.
I have adjusted my volume on my PC but to no avail.

Thanks for providing this feed.

Default Volume Adjustment

I've adjusted the volume. Let me know what you think.

The problem is that the scanner is pretty old, is on 24 hours a day, and the difference between good volume and overdriven sound is less than a millimeters difference on the knob and changes with time. I would love to get a brand new BCD996XT, but money is tight.

Perhaps these 2 articles from our Live Audio wiki will help - both have sections on audio leveling...

Setting up your Broadcasting Station - The RadioReference Wiki

Managing Audio Dynamics and Leveling - The RadioReference Wiki

best regards..Mike

Still sounds over-driven on my end.

Baybum,

Which feed are you referring to? If it's ID 4255 I just remoted in and tweaked the audio. It was over driving a bit, and hopefully it's better now.

Tony
