Went to Saint Michaels area today for the first time in a couple years. First time listening to the Bozman Site. I couldn't pick up the Talbot Site at all that way but I was getting Bozman great in that area.

A couple new talkgroups. Most of the chatter was minimal so hard to tell what they area.

Clear/Unencrypted
11546 - Bozman Site
11563 - Bozman Site

Encrypted:
11568 - Talbot/Bozman Sites
11569 - Very Active. Bozman Site

Hard to say what those TGIDs represent except that we know they are definitely in the Talbot County range. (115xx)

Some updated timetable for Radio Infrastructure Completion....

Region 4 is Western Maryland; Washington County became operational in December 2017
while Allegany County is expected to be operational in June 2018 and Garrett County in
November 2018;

Region 5 is the nationís capital area and Southern Maryland, which was targeted to be
operational in fiscal 2019, but based on programmed funding continuing through fiscal 2020, it
is more likely that the region will be fully implemented in late fiscal 2020 or early fiscal 2021.

Has anyone noticed any activity on the MDTAP Bay Bridge Talkgroup? I don't normally listen to MDTA but programmed it in on Friday because of the windstorm to hear any activity surrounding it.

Friday till now it appears that they are operating on the SHA District 5, Special Events 1 talkgroup for Bay Bridge operations. At first I thought it was just because of the windstorm to have them switch over to handle road closures but as of this evening it appears the Bay Bridge activity is still occurring on this Special Events talkgroup.

Western Maryland FiRST related?

Lavale Rescue updating their license to include P25 (Phase 1)?

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - KNFJ222 - LAVALE VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD INC

Purely speculation, but probably taking advantage of the migration to FiRST to update their own company-specific freqs to allow for digital voice considering the license is for their VHF and UHF freqs. So in a way, FiRST related, but probably not specifically for signing on to FiRST

Looks like this site is now up. Haven't run Unitrunker in a couple weeks and it is showing a new peer.

Hmm, I run Unitrunker tonight and listen.

After running Unitrunker it appears that the SHA D5, Special Events 1 is patched to MDTAP BB talkgroup. I wish the BCD436HP would show that it was patched...

XTL's will not be supported as they are Phase 1 radio's only, the Kenwood may work but as Disaster Guy pointed out, it depends if the MDFiRST folks allow that radio to operate on the system, and it isn't that they don't want it on their system, its a matter if it supports certain features that the MDFiRST system has.

Seems to me that grant money should be available for situations like this.

That patch is still up... Not sure why. Maybe it will be more of less permanent, or perhaps it's because of a new policy concerning road work. The MdTA Police have been wandering out of their jurisdiction again near the Severn River Bridge which is under reconstruction...

Yup - per docs -774.53125 is "Allegany County - Simulcast"

CAPRAD shows 774.78125 for Allegany also -- Frederick County seems to be using that one too - but I guess it could be ok given the mountains...dunno.

Get any RFSS/Site info? Maybe 1-22 (1-16 hex)?

That one looks like "Allegany-Garrett Simulcast" not to be confused with "Allegany Simulcast Cell"

Second all this this in the Oldtown/Green Ridge area as heard from Paw Paw across the river. I believe here it's from Warrior Ridge up at the TWRComm site.
