Don't be insulted by being thought of as a newcomer - we were all that way once.

Check your PM - you'll see how to start a new thread. My apologies if I gave you the wrong impression. It's not an insult

Now we return back to the normal FiRST traffic...Mike

Sounds like additional Baltimore area users will be live shortly (RIDs 123xxxx) - sounded like possibly detectives (but that's is only a guess).

Also noticed some 129xxxxx RIDs as well.

Doing a web search, came up with this:

DLLR Police

Seems they now have their own department - used to be DGS Police assigned to that post several years ago. Sorry for the error.

No worries - things change and we're all learning all the time.... I don't historically listen to police (state, county or otherwise) but this system is exposing me to the variety and numbers of different police forces this State has... Why we need so many different different police organizations is beyond me...

From: https://data.maryland.gov/goals/homeland-security

The Department of Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) is now operating on MD FiRST, Maryland’s new, interoperable 700 MHz public safety radio communications system that will be completed statewide in 2016. DLLR joins MDTA, MSP, and Kent County police, fire, and EMS as the radio system’s initial agency users.

Might be worth watching the FiRST System. Maybe some radio traffic since she will be going to a state building?

First lady Michelle Obama will be in Annapolis on Wednesday to join Gov. Martin O'Malley as he signs a bill to help veterans re-enter the workforce.

Obama will visit the U.S. Naval Academy and later join O'Malley at the Maryland State House as the governor signs the Veterans Full Employment Act of 2013. Senate Bill 273 was passed by the General Assembly earlier this month.

I first detected the activity on Coastal Hwy in Ocean City. It was definitely active there but I then found/tracked a strong signal the whole was across the Rt 90 up onto Rt 50 and all the way into Wicomico County near Pittsville.

No radio or voice activity was noticed but the system is alive in Worcester County - looks much like Kent County did in Pro96Com before they went live - just the control channel, an alternate CC, and the identifier frequency. No reported neighbors sites being reported (yet). Can't wait to return next month and see what else comes up!

Updates have been submitted to the database. The initial frequency info tracks what can be found on CAPRAD (CAPRAD PUBLIC SAFETY DATABASE).
