Default Frederick county encryption?

Using several feeds i can only hear the dispatches and nothing else. has Fredco gone digital encrypted?

Not digital encrypted - just digital P25. It's much more likely the feed providers are either not using digital scanners (since the original system was almost entirely analog) or don't know how to program them properly, so they're just rebroadcasting the conventional channels...Mike

There is some encryption on the system when I listened last week but the majority wasn't.

what is encrypted? dispatch i don't think is..but what about the talkgroups?

Dispatch is not, nor are any talkgroups that I've picked up. You *may*, if searching, be hearing MOSCAD transmissions (computer terminals as I understand it...could be wrong) which will always sound like 'encryption'. On the 'old' P16 system this was TG 976 or something.

Correction to myself: Changed up to Search, getting possible encryption on ID 5541.
