I was under the impression that they were Medevac channels now...has that changed?

From what I have experienced with the frequencies, it is worth plugging them in. They are not active all the time but they are used for specialty operations. I have heard NRP/MSP using them for watermen checks. They were very active during the Air Show this past week.

Air 60 and 67 were used for a while when they were first activated but I heard so little I stopped monitoring them. Turned them on for the air show and heard some activity - Ft Mead had a fly out (last Friday?) and I'm pretty sure I heard some conversation(s) about that around that time also on one of them due to the controlled airspace for the airshow.

They are used for point to point A/G interoperability and additionally, as I understand it, for tie-in of the aircraft radio to FiRST talkgroups without producing overpowering amounts of RF energy at altitude on normal trunked system channels.
