396 AGC settings Balt area

Now that the new 396 firmware update is available (see the Uniden forum for extensive discussions on this), I tried the settings that folks have found to be simply perfect in multiple other areas of the country:

DIGITAL
P25 resp time -7
P25 ref gain +3

ANALOG
Resp time -3
Ref gain -2
Gain range +11


The analog settings don't seem to make any difference at all (tested on Balt Co 800). Reception has always been great & remains as such. The post-update digital settings took digital performance (testing w/ Harford Co & Balt City) from quite good (before the update & without any change in factory settings) to very choppy. I tried changing the settings to the max values of +8 and +5, respectively....this seems to work nicely, but perhaps is not really different that just turning AGC off. I'm still playing around with the settings.

Anyone else have particular settings that seem to be optimal for the systems in the Balt metro area? Since the settings are global in the radio and not specific to the various systems we have programmed, it may be difficult to find the best compromise on this.
