Default Travel to Waltham

I'm going to be staying in Waltham for a week.

Any suggestions on what to listen to? Anyone have any freescan or butel files they want to share?

Thanks

You should be able to receive Boston Fire and Boston Police from Waltham. Boston PD channels 1-6 and Boston Fire channels 1-5 are what you'd want to program in. If you check out the site: Scan New England you should be able to find plenty of programming files and all the frequencies you could want in the wiki section.

What type of scanner do you have? If I don't have a file, there's probably a few folks at scannewengland.net that can send one your way.

Put a post in at Scan New England and see if someone has a software file for that area. I don't have an up to date file for that area, sorry. If all else fails you can easily create a file yourself using Freescan software. It's free, and with the EZ Grab feature in it you can copy/paste from almost any website and create files to your liking.

The Middlesex County section in the Wiki at scannewengland is up to date for information, as is Zone 5 of the MA State Police, which is the zone you want for monitoring the SP. As always, you can become a premium subscriber here at radioreference and download directly from the database too.

I don't have your scanners (have a PSR500), but could convert my Win500 files--which have just about everything you'd ever want in eastern MA--to an Excel file and sent to you for cutting and pasting purposes. If interested, PM me.

Suzie,
I have a Pro-97, could you send me your Eastern MA file? Not sure the PSR500 file will be compatible wit the Pro-97 but in Exel format might be good. Thanks
