Help needed on Uniden BCD396XT Sturbridge Area

I bought the scanner, download frequencies using Freescan and they seem to be there. But I hear nothing. Maybe it's so dead here that there's nothing going on or maybe I can't get the squelch right or maybe I'm not scanning properly. If anyone knows this unit specifically and can help I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks, Roger

Roger one of the most common mistakes folks make with the DMA scanners is that they forget to allocate and activate quick keys for each site and group they create. Did you do this? In FreeScan, it's pretty easy to take care of

I tried to do it, I think I assigned quick keys, but when I hit scan and press quick key, I still see a lot of extraneous channels flying by. Also...where's the squelch on this thing? Thanks, Roger

If you are seeing "channels flying by" it is scanning. Did you get your question on squelch and volume answered on the other list?
