Default Ma state police control freq

In the Radio Reference data base MSP Boston site lists one control freq (857.73750). But in Scan NewEngland it lists a second control channel as well (859.2125) for the Bosoton tower. Any idea if this .2125 is really a control frequency. Hope some one has noticed this.

Thanks

Ron

I know in Zone 5 the C/C are 860.9625 & 860.9875. You can get Troop A,E,F,& H id's and other talkgroups. That is all I need for the downtown area. Not sure what area you want to listen to?

Zone 1 is what you want and both C/C are correct... Here in the Hampton Roads Area all the TRS I listen to have four C/C... Va Beach use to change C/C at mid-night EVERY night. I know this due to my first 800 radio was a BC 200, and I had to lock out one & unlock the other so it would scan.

I am listening to "A" & "H1" for north Boston and essex and part of middlesex counties. I use the Metro Simulcast CC freq you use and get, I believe, all the talk. I was just surprised to see the difference between RR and scan new england CC info and was just interested if there are two CC for Zone 1. I have had zone 1 and zone 5 on for some time but never heard any transmissions from zone 1 for the A &H talk groups.

If you want the MSP then use Zone 5, if you are more interested in the DCR, MWRA, MCCA etc [aka Non MSP] then Zone 1 would be your choice.

RR data base lists zone 1 and zone 2 with only 1 CC....no secondary. Are there freq missing in the data base??
