I personally don't know. but scanner guide shows it's for the Fire Dept and running D-172. so maybe it's a fireground and/or 2ndary rptr for the fire dept.

This could the input to the VRS they use. All of the portable radios have channel 2 set as "CAR 2 RPTR"

Thanks for the replys. IIRC I have heard Weston mention a Car 2 repeater, and maybe a Engine 3 repeater. I do see the Weston FD licensed for 5 portables and 5 MO3 on 458.125. That might be that Channel 2. They could run a different DPL or PL for each MO3 if they wanted to.

The other info that I dug up for Weston shows that all of the repeaters are at Regis College at 235 Weaselly (gotta love Spell Checker) St. at 85 meters Above Mean Sea Level (AMSL)

Police - 472.2375 R - 285 ERP - main police channel

Police - 460.4375 R - 40 watts ERP - unknown use

Fire - 470.1625 R - 100 ERP - main fire channel

Fire - 472.20 R - 60 watts ERP - unknown use

Weston Public Works has a base at 190 Boston Post Rd Bypass on 45.16 - it is only 55 meters AMSL (which probably explains why I never hear it)

Police have a low level base at the police station on 39.38 - unknown if it is still used - probably was for mutual aid once upon a time

Regis Philburn College is really at 235 Wellesley St or Ave or whatever

UHF mobiles seem to run only 30 or 40 watts usually.
