Plymouth C-Med question

Why is it that every time I hear a EMS call being dispatched on the towns frequency I hear the same ambulance person on c-Med 4 responding. This morning I heard Wareham dispatch a A1 and then I heard 392 on C-Med 4 telling dispatch that they were responding? I also hear this on Barnstable C-Med.

Not living there, I would "suspect" that the emergency ambulance is a private service and is replying to their company's frequency. IF that is not the case, BEATS ME!

No that's not the case. The towns EMS has there.own fleet of ambulances.

In Barnstable County I believe all ambulances sign on with C-MED as well as their own fire alarm. Probably the norm elsewhere.

C-MED

It's local to Barnstable CMED and not all of Region 5 that the EMS service signs on with CMED enroute and clear of the call. Plymouth & Bristol CMED do not require this.
