I swear, even though you said it was new in box and never opened, I wouldn't have believed it without seeing it with my own two eyes just how pristine this thing is! Unbelievable how it stayed like this for thirty years! Do you know the story behind it? If not, can you find out? Did he buy it or get it as a gift and never use it, or pick it up at liquidation, or what? I am not an antique radio collector or anything, but this just blows me away!
BTW, it's not the one I had. It's even older than the one I had! Mine had a digital channel readout, but this one has the old school numbered channel wheel, like on the 23 channel radios. Other than that, it looks the same though. I really want to install this thing and work it, but part of me keeps saying to leave it as is and not screw it up, lol.
