Nothing! Just good antennas on each band that are well tuned. One thing you do not want to do is transmit on the wrong antenna. It will pop a transistor in the preamp section and will make your RX deaf. I had to replace it twice. You can get a diplexer from Diamond that will port each antenna and prevent this problem. The radio has full RX and TX specs even in the ham bands without any mods. Cool, huh? Hams designed this radio and it shows. They did us a big favor. I should get another one some day.

I understand that you have a Syntor X9000 low band radio in use. Besides programming, what needs to be done to get one on the air for 6 and/or 10 meters?

Well you will have to tell me everything about your experience with it after you have put it through it's paces! Encryption noise is making me nuts!!! And the people at GRE are not providing a solution.
