I am not sure if this is just a training,. I heard people talking and the one person said they had a fire in their building and then changed her mind so not sure.
But then she said they had a fire with a Cyanide exposure and then was told not to release that info when they do the news release in a few minutes with the media.

And I heard G.R. weather service calling them a few hours ago with wind updates.

It's not training - that is a live bulletin sent from Emergency Management through the NWS...

How, and why, are they keeping this out of the media? I can't find any reference to it anywhere.

They weren't - woodtv.com has been mentioning the cyanide possibility all day long. Evacuation orders were brought down hours ago.

Question

What was the outcome of this? My local news never mentioned it. They were too busy talking about useless crap out of state.

Ref. Clare fire. Warehouse fire involving insulation. NO hazmat. Local fire channels were busy especially VHF fireground. We're on VHF in this region. Local news outlets were in full force - 9 & 10 News Cadillac/TVC; Channel 5 and Channel 12 from Flint/Saginaw. Local newspaper - The Morining Sun.

Thanks for the followup... Why was there a 1-mile evac if no hazmat was involved?

Anyone else find it interesting that a 1-mile radius was ordered evacuated due to hazmat, and nobody went to the shelters?

Default Clare fire

The evacuation was ordered as it was yet undetermined what was in the warehouse. It was later determined that there were no hazmat threats. There was plenty of smoke and could be seen about 20 miles away. Not sure about who did or did not evac. I have a friend who lives about two blocks from the scene and did evac.
