Inkster Pursuit Leaves Suspect Dead

At 8am this morning, Inkster PD chased a drunk driver. They temporarily terminated the chase as they were approaching Dearborn Heights due to schools. However, when he entered the freeway, Dearborn Heights resumed the chase. At one point, PD was able to box the vehicle in, then the driver hit the gas heading straight for an officer. That officer opened fire and killed the suspect.

I listened to that yesterday morn, around 8:30 am.

I heard it on the MSP talkgroups, thinking it was on I-94. It came over the radio as "officer involved shooting" and that the freeway was closed down... but then I passed it on M39 Northbound and avoided it coming back the other way.

It is very sad and very unfortunate!!

But when are people going to realize:

1. don't try to out run the police, they going to either catch you then or find you later!

2. If you shoot at, try to drive over or any other way try to kill an police office, they going to shoot back.

One of his relatives was on the CH7 forums slamming police for being trigger happy murderers of a man who cleaned his act up, never drank or did anythin wrong.

Only thing I didn't see was that he was a GOOD CHRISTIAN MAN and went to church every sunday like they usualy throw out there.

She even said they should have used stop sticks on the car when he tried to run the officer over.
