REDFORD, Mich. -- The Michigan State Police have closed I-96 in both directions between Inkster and Telegraph because of a watermain break flooding the roadway.

Witnesses tell Local 4 that at one point, people were standing on top of their cars. Redford police say there is currently no one trapped on the roadway.

There is currently no estimate of when the road will be reopened.
